Packers expect to see a lot of new looks from Bears on Sunday

The Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears are familiar foes. They've met on the field nearly 200 times during the lifetime of their rivalry.

Yet, the Packers know less than usual about this year's Bears team. That's because they're under new leadership, as John Fox took over as Chicago's head coach this offseason.

Since the Packers play Fox's Bears in Week 1, Green Bay's Mike McCarthy expects "30 percent" of the plays to be "unscouted looks," according to Zach Zaidman of the Bears Radio Network.

Fox's top assistants are offensive coordinator Adam Gase, who followed the head coach over from the Denver Broncos, and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, who last coached the San Francisco 49ers.

After coaching Peyton Manning, Gase's top priority is to clean up Jay Cutler's quarterback play. Last season, Cutler threw turned the ball over 24 times (18 interceptions, 6 lost fumbles).

Fangio has his work cut out for him on the defensive side of the ball. He's transitioning one of the league's worst units from a 4-3 base to a 3-4 base.

Several moving parts remain on both sides of the ball, so the Packers won't know for sure what to expect from the Bears until the two teams step onto Soldier Field this Sunday.
