Packers DL Mike Daniels: 'I want to win Super Bowls with this team'
After signing a four-year, $42 million contract extension on Monday, defensive lineman Mike Daniels explained his decision to stay with the Green Bay Packers instead of test his value on the open market.
Daniels said his primary motivation is to win Super Bowls with the Packers, since Green Bay feels like home to him.
Via Ryan Wood of Press-Gazette Media:
Daniels joined the team as a fourth-round draft pick in 2012, so he wasn't with the Packers during their win in Super Bowl XLV. He has made three consecutive postseason appearances, though. Last season's NFC Championship was the deepest playoff run Daniels has experienced.
Getting that close has whet Daniels' appetite for a Super Bowl, and he wants to take that final step as a member of the Packers.
