Odell Beckham Jr. sets the record straight, he has 'no problem with anybody' on Giants

A ridiculous narrative has been born in recent days. After Odell Beckham Jr. admitted that sometimes he doesn't enjoy his teammates joking about his hamstring injury, among other things, a narrative had been spun that Beckham has issues with his teammates. On Wednesday, the 2014 Rookie of the Year confirmed that this was nonsense.
"I have no problem with anybody on the team or inside or anything," Beckham told the New York Post on Wednesday nigh after a Steiner Sports autograph signing at Roosevelt Field Mall, per True Jersey. "It was more of, you know, I feel like you can't take someone's words and you can't really tell the tone they're saying.
"I'm like 'Yeah, it gets a bit frustrating when teammates joke with you' and it gets written that he's frustrated with teammates and it's like it's not how it sounds. It's weird sometimes."
Quarterback Eli Manning's supposed criticism sounded more like a nurturing piece of advice for a player he expects big things from.
"[Beckham's] still young, he's a young player, and success is coming to him quickly, he's got to learn to handle the media and abuse," Manning said last week, per True Jersey. "Sometimes, hey, when things go wrong and you're not practicing, you just gotta sit there and take it, and be a man and learn from it."
This all started last week when Beckam was fielding his 999th question about his hamstring, and he made a remark that some in the media would later run with.
"For me, this is what I love doing, and this is what I feel like my purpose was to do," Beckham said in an interview with ESPPN. "So it takes a lot of strength for me to be able to come here every day and not practice, have to hear the little remarks, the little jokes, this and that.
"And it's not just about a hamstring. It's so many other things that people talk about. So it's hard to come here and try and focus on 'What play is up right now?' instead of thinking about how bad you want to be out there."
As you can see, his comments were never that serious in the first place. Now that Beckham has cleared up his true intentions behind them, Giants fans go back to worrying about the things that actually matter--like Beckham's hamstring injury.
