Odell Beckham Jr. gets nominated for two ESPY Awards
The accolades keep pouring in for New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. On Wednesday, ESPN announced the nominees for their 2015 ESPY Awards. Beckham was the only Giant nominated for an award, and the ESPY crew nominated him for an award under two different categories.
Beckham was nominated for the "Best Breakthrough Athlete" award, alongside little league sensation Mo'ne Davis, Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones and pro golfer Jordan Spieth. His catch--you know the one--was also nominated for "Best Play". For this award, Beckham's play will be thrown into a bracket style showdown. Beckham's play is the "1 seed" and it will first matchup against the "16" seed" play--the Albany goalie lacrosse goal.
The 2015 ESPYs, hosted by Joel McHale, will air July 15 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
