Offensive coordinator Frank Reich deserves a lot of credit for the success the Eagles’ offense is having.

It was apparent following Frank Reich‘s press conference on Thursday that the Philadelphia Eagles‘ offensive coordinator was proud of his offense for quite a few reasons.

“….We’re playing winning football, playing as a team….I like our chemistry. We’re playing with a young quarterback and we had all of those things transpire right at the last minute before the season started and because of our veteran leadership on the team and the leadership of our head coach, we’ve become closer as a team. I like our culture. I like the leadership, and we’re 2-0.”

The focus now shifts to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and many see this game as the first loss the Eagles will be handed this season. Pittsburgh brings with them two-time Super Bowl winner Ben Roethlisberger, arguably the best wide receiver in the game Antonio Brown and a roster loaded from top to bottom on both sides of the ball. The Steelers will look to continue their winning ways on Sunday as well.

Keeping those offensive weapons of the Steelers off the field is the best option for Philly. It’s doable. What tends to get lost in a two game winning streak, stellar defensive play and “Wentzamania” is the fact that the Eagles lead the entire NFL in time-of-possession at 37 minutes per game. It’s a breath of fresh air as fans were starting to get used to “three and outs” and the defensive burnout this team experienced when the former regime and former coach who shall remain nameless paced the sidelines.

This Eagles team has started just about as well as anyone can imagine. On that subject, Reich added “I think the early signs are good, but when we’ll really find out how good it is is when we hit a few bumps in the road. You’d be crazy to not ride the wave we’re on right now. You’ve got to guard against any kind of emotional letdown. You want to stay aggressive. You don’t want to play scared. Let’s keep rolling.”

As fans, it’s safe to say we all agree. Let’s keep rolling.
