Oakland is visiting with a lot of defensive back prospects

Peyton Manning is Peyton Manning. Alex Smith will have some new passing targets. And Philip Rivers is still around -- at least for the time being.

Judging by the Raiders' unofficial list of pre-draft visits, Oakland is still concerned about pass defense and how they can slow down the AFC West's top passers.

Of the 12 players who've officially visited the Raiders' Alameda headquarters, seven were defensive backs. 

A total reevaluation makes sense now with new defensive-minded head coach Jack Del Rio at the helm. Plus, the Raiders were tied for the sixth most touchdown passes allowed (29) in 2014. 

That same unit returns starters D.J. Hayden and Travis Carrie, plus 38-year-old Charles Woodson and Eagles castoff Nate Allen. 

The team appears ready to infuse new talent into what isn't exactly an inspiring DB group. They've visited privately with prospects like Washington's Marcus Peters and Utah's Eric Rowe, and both players would probably start from day one on Del Rio's defense.
