NFL Week 11: Best Games to Watch

After an exciting Week 10, here’s a look at the top five games to look forward to for NFL Week 11.

From the Dallas Cowboys squaring off against the Baltimore Ravens to the Green Bay Packers looking to get back on track Sunday night when they face the Washington Redskins, there’s plenty of reasons to be excited about the top games for NFL Week 11.

The Cowboys enter Week 11 as one of the hottest teams in the NFL thanks to an eight-game winning streak, with their latest victory coming last Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Everybody knew the potential was there for Dallas, but nobody could have predicted they would be the top team in the NFC with an 8-1 record heading into Sunday’s game against Baltimore.

Football Sunday will conclude with a rematch of two teams that met in the Wild Card round of the playoffs last January as the Packers take on the Redskins. With the way the NFC is shaping up, the last thing either of these teams can afford is to suffer another loss to fall behind even more in the playoff race.

Let’s jump right into this week’s list of top games for NFL Week 11, starting off with a key AFC South showdown between the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans.

5. Titans vs. Colts

When looking at the history between these two teams over the years, early indications point to the Indianapolis Colts coming out on top in this one, especially when considering Andrew Luck and company have defeated the Tennessee Titans 10 times in a row. With that being said, this losing streak against Colts may give the Titans a little extra motivation when these AFC South rivals square off on Sunday.

If Tennessee can defeat the Green Bay Packers 47-25 like they did in Week 10, they can certainly defeat a team like Indianapolis as Marcus Mariota finally has this offense playing at a high level as the team overall is averaging 39.3 points over their last three games. The Houston Texans may be the favorites to win the division at the moment, but both the Titans and Colts seem to have just as good of a shot to win the AFC South with the way all three teams are playing at the moment.

Of course, with the Texans only having three losses on the season, both Tennessee and Indianapolis realize the last thing either team can afford to do is suffer their sixth loss of the season in Week 11. If Mariota and Luck continue to roll on offense for both squads, don’t be surprised if this turns out to be one of the highest scoring games of the weekend.

4. Eagles vs. Seahawks

Sunday’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks can go one of two ways when considering how awful Doug Pederson‘s team has looked on the road at times throughout the 2016 season. Hopefully, the Eagles defense can play like they did in Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons to make this a fun game for football fans to watch.

Otherwise, this could easily turn out to be a game in which Seattle blows out Philadelphia.

If the Eagles are going to have any chance at pulling off a win on the road in this one, the defense will need to figure out a way to contain a Seahawks offense that has overcome their woes from the beginning of the season. From a struggling offensive line to Russell Wilson dealing with a few injuries, Seattle seems to have turned the jets on over the last two games by averaging 31 points as they look to take advantage of playing Philadelphia in front of their home crowd.

With a 1-4 record on the road, it will be interesting to see if the Eagles can keep up with the Seahawks as they look to remain in the hunt for the NFC East title.

3. Packers vs. Redskins

Is it time for the Green Bay Packers to hit the panic button with the way this team has been playing over the last few weeks? After losing four of their last five games, the Packers find themselves in a tough position heading into Week 11 as a win over the Washington Redskins would take some of the pressure off Aaron Rodgers and company.

Even at 4-5, Green Bay still seems to have a decent shot at competing for the NFC North title with the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings, but they still have plenty to prove, starting on Sunday night against Washington. Rodgers has received plenty of criticism for the way the Packers have looked on offense as of late, but the quarterback deserves some credit when considering the lack of running game due to injuries.

As for the Redskins, Jay Gruden‘s squad has won five of seven, with their most recent victory coming last weekend against the Vikings. Washington already let two key games slip away against Detroit and Cincinnati Bengals. Now, the defense knows they will be the difference-maker in this one as Rodgers will be playing with an extra chip on his shoulders in order to silence his critics.

2. Ravens vs. Cowboys

In what can only be described as a dream matchup for football fans to watch, the Baltimore Ravens travel to Texas to take on the red-hot Dallas Cowboys in a game that could easily be decided in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. With the league’s top rushing defense squaring off against one of the league’s MVP candidates in rookie Ezekiel Elliott, something will have to give on Sunday.

Everybody knew Elliott had the potential to make an immediate impact during his first season with the Cowboys. But nobody could have predicted the former Ohio State to put up the type of numbers he has through the team’s first nine games. The fact that Elliott recorded 209 yards from the line of scrimmage in Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers to go along with three touchdowns is the perfect example of just how much of an offensive weapon he really is.

Baltimore has seen plenty of success on the defensive side of the football this year, but facing off against Elliott and the rest of the Dallas offense will be their toughest challenge to date. For a team that hasn’t received as much credit as some of the other division leaders, Sunday’s game against the Cowboys is the perfect opportunity for the Ravens to make a statement.

1. Texans vs. Raiders

First off, football fans in Mexico City are lucky enough to receive a great matchup between two of the top teams from the AFC in the Houston Texans and Oakland Raiders. With the Raiders coming off a bye week, it will be interesting to see if the offense continues to stay hot thanks to Derek Carr.

At the beginning of the season, Carr was considered one of those young players to keep an eye on as the third-year quarterback has one of the league’s top duos at wide receiver in Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree. After their Week 9 win over the Denver Broncos, Oakland is feeling more confident than ever as this team has quickly emerged as a strong contender in the AFC.

The Texans may have won three of four heading into their Monday matchup against the Raiders, but it’s no secret this offense has failed to live up to their true potential this season. With all of the money the team invested in Brock Osweiler during the offseason, the quarterback better figure out a way to have a stellar performance on offense if Houston is going to have any chance of pulling off a win in Mexico City.
