San Diego Chargers defensive end Luis Castillo, St. Louis Rams linebacker James Laurinaitis and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft are among the NFL players and executives appearing in the league's new public service announcement to prevent childhood obesity.

The 90-second television spot will debut during each of the three Thanksgiving games this week. It shows the players and executives joining with local children to hula-hoop, jump rope and take part in other activities.

The United Way is also airing a spot starring Chicago Bears defensive end Israel Idonije and the team's rookie class.

The NFL's ''Play 60'' campaign aims to get children active for at least 60 minutes a day.

Others in the spot include Cincinnati Bengals executive vice president Katie Blackburn and players Keith Rivers, Dhani Jones and Chinedum Ndukwe; Chargers offensive lineman Nick Hardwick; Rams defensive end Chris Long; and Patriots players Brandon Meriweather, Zoltan Mesko and Deion Branch.
