New-look Chicago Bears show evidence of team chemistry

John Mullin of CSN Chicago likens the rebuilt Chicago Bears to "the first day of high school for freshmen" and cites an exchange between veteran pass-rusher Jared Allen and 2015 free agency acquisition Pernell McPhee as evidence of building chemistry.
"You know Pernell the other day gave me a tip," Allen told CSN Chicago. "I thought, 'Oh that makes so much sense,' and things kind of clicked and then…it kind of slowed down for me."
Since last year's 5-11 finish, the Bears have weathered turnover from top to bottom. Feeling out the new personnel is a process for McPhee and plenty others.
"Coming to a new team, you’ve got to feel things out, see who’s the leader, who’s not, figure out which guys you can sit down with and learn the game," McPhee said, according to CSN Chicago. "But right now we’ve got a great group of guys. We talk to each other."
As Chicago attempts a turnaround in 2015, players such as Allen and McPhee must lead the charge for a defensive unit that ranked among the league's worst last season.
