The NFL can be a brutal place. With how physical games can be in the trenches and the enormous amount of wear and tear the game of football puts on the human body, many players don’t make it through the entire 16 game regular season of the NFL. That is the case with the Minnesota Vikings as well.

This week, the Vikings are traveling to North Carolina to take on the Carolina Panthers. Both teams are struggling to push through some big injuries to important players, but that doesn’t mean the two squads will be anything less than the absolute best they can be on the field on Sunday, September 25, 2016.

Meanwhile, having Danielle Hunter and Eric Kendricks on defense will be big for the team. Hopefully, cornerback Xavier Rhodes will be able to join a defense that will need to be at their best against Carolina.

Jonathan Stewart is a big loss for the Panthers, as they will turn to unproven player Cameron Artis-Payne to handle the bulk of the running game against the Vikings. Otherwise, the injury chart for the team doesn’t look too bad for Carolina.

No matter who is on the field for the Minnesota Vikings and the Carolina Panthers, this should be one of the hottest matchups of the NFL’s third week. Still, it is never good to see good players sitting on the sidelines.
