Mike Zimmer says Brandon Fusco could be sliding over to left guard for Vikings

Published May. 18, 2015 4:11 p.m. ET

Vikings offensive lineman Brandon Fusco has played right guard each of his four seasons in the NFL, but Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer is now considering him on the left side, according to Matt Vensel of the Star Tribune.

Fusco, a former sixth-round selection, started 31 of a possible 32 games during the 2012 and 2013 seasons. He started the first three games of last season before landing on injured reserve with a torn pectoral muscle.

If Fusco moves to left guard, Vensel considers "valuable" interior reserve Joe Berger and 2015 fourth-round pick T.J. Clemmings as options to replace him on the right side.
