The Minnesota Vikings will have their head coach back Sunday, when they try to end a two-game losing streak in Jacksonville.

Mike Zimmer, who missed Minnesota’s loss to the Cowboys last Thursday after having emergency eye surgery, returned to his job Monday and can travel with the team, according to general manager Rick Spielman.

Zimmer, 60, had the surgery Wednesday, and special teams coach Mike Priefer led the Vikings on an interim basis during their 17-15 loss to Dallas. Minnesota has lost six of seven games after a 5-0 start that made it the last unbeaten team in the NFL.

The Vikings are now two games behind the 8-4 Detroit Lions and tied with the 6-6 Green Bay Packers for second place in the NFC North.
