Michael Sam reportedly invited to veteran combine

Michael Sam is getting another chance to prove himself

Sam, who was the first openly gay NFL player to be drafted, has been invited to the NFL's inaugural veteran combine March 22, according to reports.

Sam, who was drafted in the seventh round last year by the St. Louis Rams, was waived in the final round of cuts by the Rams in August.

The Dallas Cowboys signed him to their practice squad but then waived him in October.
