Miami Dolphins sign Bacarri Rambo

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

The Miami Dolphins have found their replacement for Reshad Jones. On Tuesday the team signed four year veteran Bacarri Rambo.

Bacarri Rambo was drafted in the 6th round of the 2013 draft by the Washington Redskins and lasted one season. He then signed with the Buffalo Bills in 2014. In his four years the safety has started 11 games with eight of those coming last year for the Bills.

The Dolphins lost Reshad Jones to a rotator cuff injury that will sideline him the rest of the season. Miami had one extra roster spot after running back Arian Foster announced his retirement abruptly on Monday.

Bacarri Rambo’s best game came in November, 2015 when he forced two fumbles and had an interception against the New York Jets. The Dolphins next opponent. He won AFC defensive player of the week for that game.

The Dolphins currently have Michael Thomas, Isa Abdul-Quddus, and Walt Aikens as the teams safeties so help was definitely needed. Rambo will have the remainder of the season to prove that he is a player who should be retained.
