McCarthy: Sunday night vs. Seattle was Raji's best game as a Packer

Don't look now, but B.J. Raji is back.

The Green Bay Packers nose tackle was dominant in a 27-17 win over the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday night. Although Raji came away with just two stops in the stat book, his presence in the trenches was unmistakable.

Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said he "barely recognized" Raji when re-watching the game film, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

"It's one of his best or was his best football game as a Green Bay Packer, in my opinion," McCarthy said about Raji's performance against the Seahawks, per ESPN.

Raji, 29, missed all of last year with a tear in his right biceps. He recorded 6.5 sacks in 2010 and made the Pro Bowl the following year, but he hadn't made much noise since then.

McCarthy also spoke about what Raji's increasing effectiveness means for the team as a whole.

"He's motivated because he sat out last year," McCarthy said, via ESPN. "If he's back to form, he will be a huge asset."
