Marks finally makes his return for Jacksonville
After missing the first five games as he made his way back from a torn ACL suffered in the final game last year, Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle made his season debut in Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans.
Marks, who was injured last Dec. 28 in a game also against the Texans, made one tackle in limited playing time.
“I moved around well,’’ Marks said, per Vito Stellino the Florida Times-Union. “It was good, efficient movement. I got a chance to open it up. I can’t wait to watch the film.’’
Although he was pleased, the 28-year-old Marks, who lead the Jaguars with 8.5 sacks last season, said Sunday was just a start.
“The next step for me is being my old self and trying to get back in the old form of how I was and how I was able to lead the guys,’’ Marks said.
Marks also said he appreciated the fact some Texans players took time to wish him well and welcome him back to the field.
“That was all great,’’ Marks said. “The players around the league are very generous type of players and they understand when people get hurt. They’re professionals and pretty good guys.’’
