Malcom Floyd could hang up the cleats after the 2015 season

A healthy Malcom Floyd played all 16 games last year for the first time since 2009. He could do the same in 2015 -- and then hang up his cleats for good.
Philip Rivers' favorite deep target is in the final year of a four-year contract. Floyd plans on playing that out and evaluating his NFL future, according to ESPN.
"I'm just trying to throw all of my chips in this year, especially because it's the last year of my contract and just go all out, and worry about the rest later," Floyd said. "But I've got four kids and it's taking time away from them. So I'm thinking about shutting it down at the end of this season."
Floyd's career should be deemed a huge success if 2015 is indeed his swan song. He's currently No. 8 in franchise history in receiving yards and No. 10 in receptions.
And 2014 might've been his most impressive season. The 34-year-old returned from what many thought was a career-ending neck injury in 2013 and reassumed his role as San Diego's deep threat. In 2014, he was tied for 10th in receptions of over 40 yards.
No one will blame Floyd though, if he wants to leave the game on his own terms.
"I dodged a bullet like two years ago (with the neck injury)," Floyd said. "The injuries and what you go through off the field, as soon as I get home I can't really do anything with my kids.
"But I don't like to get too personal with that. I'm just happy and it's a privilege to be out here. I've played 12 years and I'm happy with where I'm out now."
