The Detroit Lions have taken Notre Dame running back Theo Riddick with their second sixth-round draft pick.

The 5-10, 201-pound running back could be a kick returner for the Lions, who already have free-agent signing Reggie Bush and Mikel Leshoure on the roster. Riddick, taken with the 199th overall selection Saturday, was a slot receiver during his junior season with the Fighting Irish.

The Lions took Virginia Tech wide receiver Corey Fuller with the third pick of the sixth round. He had 45 catches and six touchdown catches for the Hokies last season.

Riddick was the fourth pick for Detroit on the final day of the draft. The Lions took South Carolina defensive end Devin Taylor late in the fourth round and selected Appalachian State punter Sam Martin.
