Lions GM says ruling out players who have smoked pot would eliminate 'half the board'

Social media trackers, scouts and background investigators may or may not have known that the Tunsil video was lurking somewhere.

But as Quinn indicates, teams learn by player admission, by players getting busted, though some detective work or by sheer statistics and common sense: College students smoke marijuana. Half of NFL prospects or more, per Quinn's stated estimate.

He said of marijuana use and guys who are marked "red flags" or "pink flags":
