Lions' Ansah not going alone to Hawaii for Pro Bowl

Published Jan. 22, 2016 3:14 p.m. ET

Detroit Lions defensive end Ezekiel Ansah is headed to Hawaii for his first career Pro Bowl appearance at the end of the month. He plans on traveling there with an entourage.

Ansah invited Detroit's entire defensive line -- plus defensive line coaches Kris Kocurek and Matt Raich -- to come with him.

Ansah, 26, was the fifth-overall pick in the 2013 draft and has quickly developed into a difference-maker on the defensive edge. He led the team 14.5 sacks in 2015; fellow defensive ends Devin Taylor (7.0 sacks) and Jason Jones (4.5 sacks) were a distant second and third.

Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson would be joining Ansah in Hawaii, too, but he declined his Pro Bowl invitation earlier this month.
