Las Vegas oddsmakers expect the Falcons to finish above .500

For any fan of the Atlanta Falcons who checked out the opening win total projections for the 2015 NFL season, you probably walked away with a bit of a smile on your face. Expectations in Atlanta may be high in 2015, but they're obviously high in the minds of Las Vegas oddsmakers as well, according to Andrew Hirsh of AtlantaFalcons.com.

As Hirsh explains, the Vegas oddsmakers have set the projected number of wins for the Falcons at 8.5, just like they were in 2014.

While thoughts of the 2014 season may haunt fans, this is a number that the Falcons could absolutely clear. There's little reason to believe that the Falcons can't be the team to make the jump and take over the NFC South this season. If that ends up happening, I believe the eventual winner of the division winds up with at least nine or 10 wins.
