Kyle Long opens up minicamp as Chicago Bears starting right tackle

When the Chicago Bears opened up minicamp on Wednesday, Pro Bowl offensive lineman Kyle Long lined up at right tackle with the first-team again, according to ESPN's Jeff Dickerson. This is a continuation of an experiment that began during OTA workouts.
Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is down with the project and hyped about the versatility of his front five.
"It's a very versatile [offensive line]," Cutler said. "You've got Vlad [Ducasse] in there now, Matt Slauson, Charles Leno's playing left, Kyle's playing right tackle, there's a lot of moving parts, and we've got some guys in the second group that can play as well. It's going to be just a matter of sorting through all those guys, finding our good seven or eight guys that we all feel comfortable with. But right now you've got to be happy with the way that group is competing out there. With some of the injuries we've had, pulling guys out and moving guys to different spots, they've been really resilient, and they've done a good job."
Long, a first-round pick out of Oregon in the 2013 NFL draft (20th overall), has played left guard and made the Pro Bowl in each of his first two seasons. Chicago's normal starter at right tackle, Jordan Mills, is still recovering from a foot injury.
