Julius Thomas makes NFL 'Top 100' list
Another Pro-Bowl season in 2014 helped tight end Julius Thomas earn a huge contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency. It also landed him a spot on the NFL Network Top 100 Players of 2015 list on Wednesday. The rankings are based on voting by fellow NFL players.
Thomas, who caught 12 touchdowns for the Denver Broncos for the second straight year, came in at No. 45 on the list. The former fourth-round pick is the only tight end in NFL history with consecutive 12-touchdown seasons.
Of the six tight ends in the Top 100, only two are ranked higher then Thomas.
The 26-year-old Thomas signed a five-year, $46 million contract with Jacksonville in March making him the league's highest-paid tight end.
