Josh McCown has an answer for anyone who thinks the Browns should tank

The Cleveland Browns looked perfectly horrendous in Sunday’s season-opening 29-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, and things got worse Monday when they placed starting quarterback Robert Griffin III on injured reserve with a broken bone in his non-throwing shoulder.

So what do you do when the season opener seems like a season ender for a team many believe will be the worst in the league? Tanking for a high draft pick – because, you know, Cleveland traded away the No. 2 pick last spring and could maybe get it right the next time – might seem like the obvious answer, but don’t tell that to Josh McCown, who is taking over as starting QB in Griffin’s absence.

McCown, a 37-year-old journeyman who has an 18-39 career record as a starter and went 1-7 with the Browns last season, told “PFT Live” on Tuesday that he’s having none of the tank talk.

Go get ’em, Josh. Week 2 is a little too early to be thinking about draft time.
