Josh Gordon's return to field delayed by injury
Josh Gordon's long-awaited return to the football field will be delayed a bit longer, as the Cleveland Browns placed the wide reciever on the active/non-football injury list Tuesday, just one day after he was reinstated by the league.
Gordon reported to the Browns' practice facility for the first time in over a year on Tuesday, and a physical revealed a quadriceps injury that will sideline him for the first couple weeks of camp. The 25-year-old wideout injured his quad while working out on his own over the summer.
While Gordon is allowed to participate in training camp and play in preseason games, he will be suspended for the first four games of the regular season. The suspension is part of his reinstatement, which was granted on a conditional basis after multiple violations of the league's substance abuse program.
Reports out of Berea indicate that Gordon met with Browns head coach Hue Jackson, EVP of football operations Sashi Brown and other members of the Browns front office on Tuesday to discuss guidelines and expectations for the upcoming season.

Gordon, who missed the entire 2015 season due to various suspensions, has played in only five games over the past two years. He led the NFL with 1,646 receiving yards in 2013, but hasn't played in a game since December 2014.
