New Jacksonville Jaguars running back Jonas Gray, who was signed by the team this week after the injury to starter T.J. Yelson, said he's excited for the chance to contribute in Jacksonville.

With Yeldon dealing with a sprained knee suffered in last Sunday's win over the Indianapolis Colts, the Jaguars added Gray from Miami's practice squad on Tuesday.

Gray, who will likely see time as a backup to Denard Robinson this week, ran for 201 yards and four touchdowns as a member of the New England Patriots in a November 2014 win over the Indianapolis Colts. He was cut and the end of training camp this year before signing with Miami.

“Whenever you get an opportunity to come to another team and have a chance to continue playing in the league, you definitely want to take advantage of it,” Gray said.

The 25-year-old appeared in six games for the Dolphins this season, running for 122 yards on 31 carries, before being released and later added to the practice squad.
