Johnny Manziel has made his NFL regular-season debut, coming off the bench for the Cleveland Browns in the third quarter Sunday against New Orleans.

The hyped rookie quarterback replaced starter Brian Hoyer and handed the ball off to Isaiah Crowell for a 3-yard gain before returning to the sideline. He came back in later in the quarter, handing off to Crowell and then throwing a pass that was dropped by Ray Agnew.

Manziel received a loud ovation from Cleveland fans, some of whom have been clamoring for him to start since the Browns selected him in the first round last May.

Cleveland has a package of plays designed for the mobile Manziel, the former Heisman Trophy winner from Texas A&M.

Manziel showed some flashes of promise during the exhibition season but was unable to unseat Hoyer as Cleveland's starter. His first pass Sunday is below.
