John Elway might've struck gold again with Darius Kilgo

Darius Kilgo figured to be a developmental flier when the Broncos grabbed him in the sixth round.

He's soon become another example of general manager John Elway's brilliance. The Maryland product has tallied two sacks and eaten up blocks like a 10-year veteran.

In fact, Kilgo lead the Broncos with 42 defensive plays in the team's preseason win against Houston. The Texans only had 74 total snaps.

Kilgo's instant emergence could come in handy. Sylvester Williams is improved, but unproven as a replacement for departed Terrance Knighton. The team just placed Marvin Austin Jr. on the injured reserve, too.
