Jim Harbaugh is at the top of Eric Dickerson’s list of potential head coaches to replace the recently fired Jeff Fisher.

Los Angeles Rams legend Eric Dickerson named a few head coaches who he’d like to see replace the recently fired Jeff Fisher, and Jim Harbaugh was at the top of the list.

Dickerson was talking to Colin Cowherd on “The Herd” and dropped a few names he’d like to see replace Fisher.

Harbaugh was not only one of them, he’s at the top of Dickerson’s list, per ESPN’s Alden Gonzalez:

“Not about who’s carrying biggest stick; it’s about who’s winning. Jim Harbaugh is that guy,” Dickerson said on 570 LA Radio. “That is what it comes down to. He went to Michigan now they are winning. Stanford as well. That offensive line can be fixed but have to get right person in line. If they want to win people in charge have to get people in there that can win.”

Dickerson went on to name a few other possibilities, including Jon Gruden, but Harbaugh is his No. 1 choice:

“I like Jon Gruden,” he said on 570 LA. “I think that would be a good pick. Attitude … knows how to win and need something new for the fans and this city. I don’t think David Shaw would come. Not Josh McDaniels either. Kyle Shanahan is young and exciting. My first pick would be Jim Harbaugh.”

Is Jim Harbaugh a Real Possibility?

While Harbaugh would be a great replacement for Fisher, it’s doubtful he’s ready to return to the NFL now. He has spent just two years at Michigan, his alma mater, and would look pretty bad if he left with the program on the cusp of winning a National Title in the next year or two.

Options like Gruden, Shanahan and McDaniels are a bit more realistic, although it’s too early to tell if any of those guys would take the job.

Despite their issues, the Rams job is still an attractive one. The team does have a talented defense, a No. 1 overall pick behind center and an attractive market to play in. The Rams should be able to land a high-profile coach and it’s exactly what this franchise needs to shake things up.
