Jets reportedly will cut RB Knile Davis only hours after signing him
Just when Knile Davis thought he had found a new home in the NFL, it appears the journeyman running back will be back in free agency.
Hours after the New York Jets signed the free-agent running back, reports emerged that the team will cut Davis to make room for C.J. Spiller.
The past 24 hours have to be a roller coaster ride for Davis, who was cut by the Packers on Monday. He played in two games with Green Bay, getting five carries for 5 yards before being released.
Davis, who is in his fourth year after being drafted in the third round by the Chiefs in 2013, played his first three seasons in Kansas City. He was cut four games into this season.
Davis has 11 career touchdowns in 52 games.
You're not going to believe this... but the #Jets are planning to release RB Knile Davis (again) as they finalize a deal for RB CJ Spiller.
