Jets held private workout for Brett Hundley

By Larry Brown
The New York Jets are doing their due diligence with studying quarterback prospects entering the NFL draft and even held a private workout with prospect Brett Hundley, according to a report.
The New York Daily News’ Manish Mehta reports that the Jets worked out Hundley about four weeks ago. Hundley is entering the draft as a redshirt junior who was the most successful UCLA quarterback since Cade McNown. A dual-threat QB, Hundley threw for over 9,996 yards and 75 touchdowns in his three seasons as a starter and rushed for 30 TDs.
In addition to Hundley, the Jets had a private workout with Marcus Mariota in Oregon.
New York picks No. 6 overall and there have been reports that they would trade the pick, but they may be sticking with it. At the least they are trying to prepare for all possibilities. They also have Geno Smith and Ryan Fitzpatrick currently on the roster.
