Jets' Brandon Marshall "fine" after scary-looking knee twist

NEW YORK (AP) Jets coach Todd Bowles says wide receiver Brandon Marshall's left knee is ''fine'' and just ''sore,'' and he should be able to play in New York's next game.

Marshall avoided serious injury after a scary-looking knee twist Thursday night when Buffalo cornerback Stephon Gilmore brought him down by the facemask in the second quarter of the Jets' 37-31 win. The receiver immediately grabbed his knee, which had been bent awkwardly under him, but surprisingly returned to the game later in the quarter.

Marshall had additional tests Friday, which revealed no serious damage. A relieved Marshall also wrote on Instagram: ''I knew it couldn't end like that.''

Bowles says left guard James Carpenter (calf) and linebacker Erin Henderson (foot) were still undergoing tests and their status was unknown.
