As the Jets take on the Bills in the first Thursday Night Football matchup of the year, here is your list of inactive players for the game.

Both teams are in must-win mode for tonight’s game. Bills head coach Rex Ryan appears to be on the hot seat and there’s talk per USA Today that his firing isn’t out of question if the Bills lose tonight. There’s a slim 13% chance of making the playoffs after starting out 0-2. Now it’s not the end of the world however as both the Seahawks and Texans made the playoffs last year after starting out 0-2 but it’s a hole you don’t want to be in.

The Jets went 10-6 last year and still missed the playoffs, so they know every win they can get within the division is crucial. Although they were on the losing end to Cincinnati last week, there was plenty of positives they can take from the film on Sunday.

Last season, the Bills swept the Jets in their two meetings. They played spoiler in Week 17, keeping the Jets out of the playoffs and reaching their 11th win. The Bills still haven’t made the playoffs since the turn of the century, as their last playoff trip was in 1999. I was two years old.

Buffalo came up just short against the Ravens, while the defensive effort was a positive, there was much to be desired from the offense and in particular Tyrod Taylor, who threw more balls behind and parallel to the line of scrimmage than he did past it. The Jets utilize a multiple front scheme, as you’ll see them in both traditional 3-4 and 4-3 looks. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, you don’t run on the Jets. So in order for Buffalo to get a W, Tyrod Taylor must be in first gear.

Here’s the inactive list for both teams.

No surprises here for Jets.

Tackle Cordy Glenn’s absence will be felt as the Bills take on the top defensive line in football. Could be another long game for Tyrod Taylor.
