Jay Cutler owes two of his pass-catchers for record he set in Week 10

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler set a pretty sweet franchise record against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

With an 87-yard touchdown pass to tight end Zach Miller and an 83-yarder to running back Jeremy Langford, Cutler became the first quarterback in team history to throw two 80-yard touchdown passes in a single game, according to NFC communications director Randall Liu.

On the surface, this stat makes it look like Cutler had an awesome day throwing the deep ball. Well, that wasn't really the case. Miller and Langford both caught short passes and broke free in the open field, picking up most of the yardage on their long touchdown receptions after the catch.

In the stat book, however, it'll all look the same. At the very least, Cutler owed his tight end and running back a nice dinner after the game.
