Jared Goff makes promise to Rams fans after team's sixth consecutive loss
The losses keep piling up for the Los Angeles Rams, their latest one a heartbreaking 22-21 defeat to the lowly San Francisco 49ers, who came into the game riding a 13-game losing streak.
After the Rams’ sixth consecutive loss Saturday, rookie quarterback Jared Goff felt the need to reach out to Los Angeles fans.
"To all the fans, and everybody who came out today — we're appreciative and understand where we are,” said Goff, who went 11 of 24 for 90 yards. “And we know they understand where we are. It's just hard. It's hard for all of them, it's hard for all of us. But I promise you guys it will get fixed. Everything in my heart and soul to get it all fixed."
The Rams’ first year in Los Angeles has been forgettable. Head coach Jeff Fisher was fired earlier this month, and the team has floundered late in the season, losing 10 of its past 11.
