Jaguars' free-agent additions come up big in win over Titans

A trio of high-profile free agent additions made a big contribution to Jacksonville's 19-13 win over the Tennessee Titans Thursday night.
Defensive lineman Jared Odrick, tight end Julius Thomas and cornerback Davon House, who signed for a combined $113 million last March, all made impact plays in the fourth quarter of the victory.
Odrick, who had four tackles in the game, came through with a sack of Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota with just over eight minutes to play and Jacksonville trailing 13-9. The sack resulted in a loss of nine yards and forced Tennessee to punt.
With 3:30 remaining and Jacksonville still down by four, Thomas caught a five-yard touchdown from quarterback Blake Bortles that put the Jaguars up for good.
On the Titians' next play from scrimmage, House jarred the ball loose from tight end Philip Supernaw and then recovered it.
“They became part of the culture, and now they’re making impact plays to help us win games,” Jacksonville linebacker Paul Posluszny said, per the Florida Times-Union. “It’s awesome to see.”
Thanks in part to the contributions from Odrick, Thomas and House, the victory helped the Jaguars surpass their their win total from last season with six games left to play.
At 4-6, Jacksonville enters Week 12 one game behind Indianapolis and Houston in the AFC South.
