J.J. Nelson Flies Down Sideline for 56-Yard Rushing Touchdown (Video)
Arizona Cardinals speedster J.J. Nelson simply blew right past the Miami Dolphins defense on a 56-yard touchdown run on an end around.
It’s highly likely that you drafted some of the Arizona Cardinals offensive weapons on your fantasy football team before the season. After all, Bruce Arians ran one of the most explosive offenses in the league last season. However, among their disappointing season has also been disappointment for fantasy owners outside of those with David Johnson on their squads. Wide receiver J.J. Nelson, however, tried to make up for his disappointing season with both fantasy owners and his team in Week 14.
Right as the rain started coming down in Miami as the Cardinals took on the Dolphins, Arians dialed up a little bit of trickery. He faked a handoff to his workhorse, Johnson, up the middle. Nelson then came in from the left on the end around and took the rock from Carson Palmer. Then it was off to the races.
The speedy Nelson got to the right sideline and just turned up his straight-line speed down the sideline. Though there were a host of defenders for Miami that took angles at him, none of them could match the speed and burst of the wideout. Subsequently, he blew by the entire defense for a massive 56-yard touchdown run:
YOU. CANNOT. STOP. J.J. NELSON.
Too Fast. 😳 #BeRedSeeRed https://t.co/7ePDYtaqY9

That’s what the experts and scouts like to call “wheels.”
Unfortunately for the Cardinals, one of their many woes this season continued as kicker Chandler Catanzaro missed yet another kick on the extra point. That left them still trailing, 7-6, early in Miami. Still, it’s safe to say that Nelson’s speed might light a fire under the Arizona offense.
