How does Craig Mager fit with the Chargers secondary?

It's never easy for a player to transition from a lower level of college football to the NFL.
It's even tougher when he plays one of the toughest positions in all of professional sports.
General manager Tom Telesco ignored both adverse factors and selected Texas State cornerback Craig Mager in the third round earlier this month.
His character might've been too good to pass up. Mager could've attended a football powerhouse, but he stayed in Texas to help raise his younger brothers and sisters. And if he never went to the Sun Belt school, he might've never caught the eye of Bolts coaches at the East-West Shrine Game.
Judging by the highlights below, he probably projects best as a slot-type corner first. he Chargers had success with a player like that last year in Jason Verrett, so they might catch lightning in a bottle twice.
