Harrison gets half a sack for hit on Cribbs

Published Oct. 20, 2010 7:45 p.m. ET

Steelers linebacker James Harrison has been credited with half a sack on his concussion-causing hit that sidelined Browns wide receiver Joshua Cribbs.

Harrison lowered his head and slammed his helmet into the left side of Cribbs' helmet as Cribbs fumbled while running a wildcat formation play during the second quarter of Pittsburgh's 28-10 victory on Sunday. Cribbs did not return to the game.

After being reviewed, the NFL altered the play to give Cribbs no yardage rather than 1 yard rushing. Harrison and LaMarr Woodley were credited with half a sack each because Cribbs lined up as the quarterback.
