Grossman starts for Redskins against Miami

Published Nov. 13, 2011 12:46 p.m. ET

Quarterback Rex Grossman has regained the starting job for the Washington Redskins.

Benched four weeks ago, Grossman was chosen by coach Mike Shanahan to start Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. Grossman replaced John Beck, who went 0-3 in three starts, threw four interceptions and was sacked 15 times.

The injury-plagued Redskins scored 31 points in the three losses. Beck's 72.1 passer rating is second-worst in the NFC, ahead of only Grossman's 66.5.

Grossman lost the job after he had nine interceptions and lost two fumbles in five starts this season.
