For those Cowboys fans who were hoping that Greg Hardy's suspension would provide the Cowboys salary cap relief to potentially pursue Adrian Peterson or other free agents, they will be sorely disappointed to find out that it does not provide them any relief. At least not for now.
According to Todd Archer, his current $3.217 million cap hit today and would not reduce until the regular season begins and the Cowboys receive a credit on his $750,000 base salary based on how many games he would miss.
