Giants' Beckham Jr. claims his hamstring is getting healthier
New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has just 11 catches for 96 yards over his past two games, but at least according to Beckham, his lack of production has nothing to do with his hamstring injury.
"It’s kind of gotten better," Beckham told reporters on his Monday conference call when asked about the stats of his hamstring. "It’s being able to recover, and heal up, and it’s definitely doing better. It’s just something that you just have to maintain it. It’s a maintenance job."
Without another consistent threat in the passing game, defenses have rolled safeties and used double coverage to take Beckham out of the ball game in the past two weeks.
The Giants need to find a way to manufacture touches for Beckham by using him in motion, in the backfield and in other ways.
