Wednesday would have marked Sean Taylor’s 32nd birthday. The former Washington Redskins safety was killed back in 2007 during a home invasion. Today one of the individuals responsible for Taylor’s death was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Charles Wardlow, 25, is the fourth man that has now been found guilty in the home invasion that resulted in Taylor’s death back in November of 2007. One more defendant remains to be sentenced in the case.

The organizer of the home invasion, Jason Mitchell, is currently serving a life sentence for first-degree murder.

As news trickled in that Wednesday would have been Taylor’s 32nd birthday, tributes were sent to the former NFL player through social media, including a message from the Washington Redskins.

Let’s hope in some way Wednesday’s sentencing can at least help the Taylor family through what has to be a hard day.
