Texas Longhorns cemented a double overtime victory in one of the greatest college football battles in recent memory

Texas had everything in their win over the Notre Dame Fightin’ Irish: an underdog mentality, a breakout true freshman at quarterback, and some crazy plays that bounced each way.

Social media acted accordingly to the thrilling game, but alumni of the Texas football team made sure their voices were just as loud. Here are some of the former Longhorns who spoke out on Twitter following the huge win over the tenth ranked Notre Dame Fightin’ Irish.

While its only the beginning of a long college football season, no-one could have imagined the season being this thrilling so early.
