Former CFL star says he's ready to contribute for Chargers at LB

Cordarro Law got his first NFL season under his belt.
Now, the Chargers' linebacker thinks he can follow in the footsteps of fellow CFLers like Cameron Wake and become an impact NFL pass-rusher.
"I definitely can be that guy," Law told the team's official website. "There has been a letdown the last couple years around here (in sacks), but we’ve got good outside linebackers. We’ve got good guys up front, too. If they put all of us on the field at the same time, there’s going to be trouble out there.”
At 29th in the league last season in team sacks, San Diego had trouble pressuring passers. Law can be a part of the solution; he's been working with linebackers coach Mike Nolan to improve his all-around technique.
Law tallied just one sack last season against the Jaguars. He wants to increase that number tenfold in 2014 -- and the Bolts might give him every opportunity to do so.
“There is definitely an opportunity here for me,” he said. “Some old vets are gone, and we are a young group now. There is a chance for me to step up and make some plays for this team."
