Heading into Week 9 Fantasy Football action, running back Matt Forte of the New York Jets is a must-start against the Miami Dolphins.

The New York Jets have finally figured out what works in actually having a shot at winning football games this season. In their only three wins of 2016, they all came thanks to their commitment to running the football. When they feed the football to running back Matt Forte, they’ve proven they can actually be effective on offense. What are expectations for Forte and his fantasy football value heading into Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins?

Well, Forte is coming off his second straight game with a touchdown on the ground. At this point in time and luckily for the Jets, Forte is red hot and should see plenty of reps against the Dolphins. In what should be another classic AFC East showdown, expect to see the Jets stick to their ground game with hopes of earning their third consecutive win of the year.

The past two weeks, Forte has scored three touchdowns for Gang Green. The Jets more than doubled his reps the past two weeks and it’s clearly been effective. The Jets can beat the Dolphins if they stick to this formula of running the football which helps open everything else up on offense.

Last week, Forte totaled 82 rushing yards, 25 attempts, and two touchdowns. Fantasy football owners should expect to see more of the same this week as Forte should continue to be a force to reckon with.

Owners should use Forte as their RB1 this week or even as a FLEX option. The Jets don’t have much going for them but their ground game is one of the main strengths of the team. Forte will lead the charge and should produce some very nice fantasy results this week.

Overall, Forte is a must-start this week. It’s his time to shine as historically, he’s always done well from now until the end of the season.
