Heading into Week 8 Fantasy Football action, running back Matt Forte of the New York Jets will be returning to form against the Cleveland Browns.

Make no mistake about it, this is the week to highly consider starting most fantasy football options of the New York Jets. In their Week 8 matchup, the Jets hit the road to face the Cleveland Browns. Yes, a team that not only has yet to win a football game this season but are one of the worst statistical teams in the NFL.

Running back Matt Forte surprised fantasy owners last week by putting up an incredible performance against the Baltimore Ravens. In Week 7, Forte totaled 100 rushing yards, 30 attempts, and a touchdown. It was the first touchdown he scored since Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills.

Forte also proved his dual-threat abilities as he also totaled 54 receiving yards, four receptions, and even scored a touchdown through the air. The defense of the Browns won’t have any answers for an offense that looked much better last week than we’ve seen all season long.

Coming off a much-needed win, the Jets have everything going for them this week. Fantasy owners should confidently start Forte as he’s easily an RB1 this week or even a FLEX option in the grand scheme of things.

This is the point of the regular season where Forte usually tends to be rather consistent in what he does on the gridiron. Offensive coordinator Chan Gailey shouldn’t worry about limiting Forte as the time is now for the Jets to push the envelope and stick to their proven stars to deliver.

Expect to see Forte have a field day against the Browns as the Jets will more than likely earn their third win of the season and a consecutive victory.

Overall, fantasy owners should start Forte at least for this week since the momentum is there as well as what should be a consecutive big game for the “workhorse” of the Jets. This is too good a golden situation to pass up on with the Jets going up against the Browns.
