Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 15: QB Bryce Petty

Heading into Week 15 Fantasy Football action, quarterback Bryce Petty isn’t worth starting in the grand scheme of things.
If you’re lucky enough to have made the playoffs in your fantasy football league, your time to deliver is now. It’s not a moment to take risks or hope for some magical sleeper fantasy pick that will bring you a plethora of points.
It’s best to stick with your tried and true fantasy options and understand that it’s best to continue with those you can depend on. Even though quarterback Bryce Petty is now starting the rest of the way for the New York Jets, he’s not worth starting in the grand scheme of things.
Considering that last week, Petty was alright against the abysmal San Francisco 49ers, doesn’t exactly scream he’s a must-start in Week 15. This week, Petty goes up against the Miami Dolphins, a team that could very well sneak into the NFL Playoffs via a Wild Card berth. Their defense isn’t the best but is stouter than the 49ers.
Petty is auditioning for his future chances at being a full-time starter for the Jets and while shows promise for such a role, isn’t worth a QB1 or QB2 spot in fantasy football this week. Last week, Petty totaled 257 passing yards, no touchdowns, and an interception.

To play it safe, fantasy owners should use another quarterback entering a favorable matchup. It’s best to use your backup quarterback or hit the waiver wire in hopes of finding a viable option worthy of starting.
Overall, sit Petty this week and while he should continue honing his craft as a future starting quarterback, fantasy owners shouldn’t risk a loss after making it to the postseason.
