Fantasy Football Start or Sit Week 14: TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins
Heading into Week 14 Fantasy Football action, don’t even dare think about starting tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins.
There is something terribly wrong about tight ends and the way the New York Jets utilize them. Basically, they get very little to no production out of the position due to how their offense executes. Well, their offense hasn’t executed consistently all season long but that’s a different article. Due to this, fantasy football owners shouldn’t start tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins in the grand scheme of things. The Jets use their tight ends mostly as extra blockers.
Besides not scoring a single touchdown since he was acquired by the Jets, Jenkins hasn’t totaled much of anything. His route-running is bad and he doesn’t exactly have the skill-set to be a difference maker for the Jets.
With a select amount of fantasy football owners entering the playoffs this week, it’s imperative to make the absolute best decision with every single start in your lineup. This isn’t the time to hope for a sleeper pick but rather, stick with the most consistent players that will deliver this week.
Look for ideal matchups and above all else, only start the best of the best. Unfortunately for Jenkins, he’s nowhere near those kinds of expectations. Fantasy football owners should sit Jenkins this week and if you haven’t already done so, completely cut him.

Jenkins simply isn’t worth risking so much on with hopes of him having a great game against the abysmal defense of the San Francisco 49ers. They’re pretty terrible but again, the Jets are such a dysfunctional team that they’re not even favorites to leave this game victorious.

Overall, don’t even waste your time with Jenkins. He’s a terrible tight end that won’t do much of anything this week. Pick any other option at tight end via the waiver wire, even last minute right before game time if you have to.
