Falcons lose OT Sam Baker to season-ending injury

The Atlanta Falcons have lost another player for the season, placing offensive tackle Sam Baker on injured reserve.
The move announced Tuesday was not a surprise. Baker, considered the team's best offensive lineman, was plagued by a knee injury and had already missed five games.
The Falcons (2-7) have been ravaged by injuries. Baker was the fourth starter to go down for the season, following star receiver Julio Jones, defensive end Kroy Biermann and fullback Bradie Ewing. The team also lost projected offensive line starter Mike Johnson during training camp.
In addition, linebacker Sean Weatherspoon, receiver Roddy White and running back Steven Jackson have missed extensive time. Weatherspoon went out in Week 2 with a foot problem but is eligible to return for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay (1-8).
